We left the house on Friday 7:30 am went into Portland to pick up 2 friends, 1 on a bagger and the other was ridding his 1948 Panhead (with no brake downs). First stop was Biggs Junction Or and the weather getting hot. Shedded our jackets, with the next stop in Boardman Or. Time for Gatorade and a ice cream with the temp outside getting close to 100. We arrived in Pasco and felt like a Popsicle left on the pavement on a hot day. Got gas more Gatorade and hit the road. At Connel Wa we could not stand it anymore and headed east for the mt's. Stopped in Colfax Wa for something to eat it is 5:00 pm and 100plus outside. Started cooling down when we got to St Maries Id. Pulled into Kingston Id at 9:00 p.m. it was still hot. We set up camp then went down to the band. We have been going to this run for 10 yrs so we had lots of hello's to go around. Sure do enjoy people watching. We had our share this weekend since there was a small group with a brand new 3 piece patch. We were talking among ourselves saying I hope they do not ride into Portland Or. Then less than 10 mins later in rides the "Free Souls" (the Bandidos were all ready there) 2 of the Free Souls get off there bikes walk up behind one man with the new patch and was looking at it. Within 1 min there were 30+Bandidos and the rest of the Free Souls shaking hands and looking at the new patch nothing happened in front of anyone BUT there were not any new patches in the a.m. I just hope for there sakes none had a tattoo of that patch. Business was taken care of in private and no ones fun was interrupted. The Free Souls left in the middle of the night Bandidos stayed all weekend.
The only thing I hated about this weekend was having to ride on a stock seat. Corbin is the only way to go. We have been riding on Corbin's for 11 yrs with differant bikes. This one is getting one also. Looks like a trip to Hollister so it can be fitted to Terry's short legs.

When you pull a trailer you get comfy chairs and TARPS to make shade. We had to tent it this weekend because of lack of miles on the bike. Sure did miss the trailer and all the comforts.
-
Getting ready to pull out it is 5:30am. 45 mins earlier Terry(Rooster) did his famous wake up call. The tent next to us she wanted us to be quite well being a good Mrs Rooster I told her we had to listen to them ALLLLLL night long doing the wild thing so shut up, and she did.

Another Picture of the Lower Columbia River. We'll see the upper when all the dam people meet for Nelson.

We are coming out of the desert and getting back into the trees. This is in Lyle Wa there are people climbing that rock to jump in and go swimming.

Ahhh Rooster's favorite view (ha ha) Wind s with sails and kites. The west wind was picking up and they were coming out of the woodwork like ants. This is taken from White Salmon WA (we still have a house here, Terry grew up here) looking at Hood River Oregon.
