Don, you have out done yourself with these pictures!        The country is beautiful and your pictures really captured the beauty.  I would have crapped my pants if that bear would have ran out in front of me!

I grew up not far from there, brings back a lot of good memories.    We enjoyed many float trips down the Snake River on inner tubes and rafts.  I wonder how we survived sometimes.

I haven't been back for years, and it amazes me how devastating the fires were in the late '80s.  If you ride to the south gate towards the Tetons, you'll see how lush and green it used to be.  The pine beetle in the '70s really changed the landscape, too.

We just got back from the same area last week. It's pretty neat to see pictures of the same places that we were. I plan to post a few later but it's been pretty hectic since we got back. New grandson (first one and arrived early!) and our beloved German Shepherd of over 9 years passed last Sunday as well.
