grc & Twolanerider, so after I install this piece, the detachable windshield will still go on & off no problem?

Yes.   Detachable points inside the new brackets.

I got the FLHRS-style signals kit. Install is fairly straightforward; as mentioned, the bastard is getting the wiring for the old signals out of the bars.

My experience has been for the money and frustration you wind up putting into trying to assemble a kit isn't worth the money you save when there's a kit already available.

I am planning to install that kit on my CVO King.  I have just never liked signals on the bars.  I have debated the passing lights for a while but decided I want the cleaner sportier look, so I will just do an LED daymaker head light.

Still trying to decide if I will do 14 Monkey bars like I have on my CVO roadglide.

How do you like the Klock Flare on your King?  Which height?

I like it...forget the exact height - 21", maybe? - found it used on eBay. I'm short enough that the stock windsplitter is fine for backroads driving, but my current commute is about 40 mins' worth of interstate. Needed more shield for that, and the Flare works great. Enough sculpting that it goes with the CVORK's New School look pretty well.
