Title: Saddlebags
Post by: leebenedi on November 11, 2023, 06:48:45 AM
Hello. I have a question. When you remove your saddlebags, where do you store them? I am going to do maintenance and need to put them away. Is there any type of mount for them?

Thanks.

I just put a bedspread or towels down and set them on that.

I have the H-D rack and use it when the bags are going to be off the bike for an extended time (I don’t bother getting it out for occasions where I’m pulling the bag and putting it back on quickly) it works really well and nice to know they are locked-in and won’t get knocked over and damaged.

Hi,

I searched for “racks” “saddlebag rack” etc, and no joy. Could you please supply a link to that thread?

Thanks
Pauly

G’day leebendi,

You can pick up felt furniture pads that stick on the bottom of the bags which means you can set them down anywhere without scratching them. A cheap option for temporary use such as on the roadside away from home.

Storage rack is the best for home or long term

Cheers Tom

I use a foldable acoustic guitar stand.
It keeps the bags safe and for storage it can be folded .
Simple and a lot cheaper than Harley's.

search for Guitar Stand Portable Black Adjustable A Fame Acoustic Guitar Stand  :)

Better than felt pads, which are absorbent, Tom - little half round silicon rubber bumpers.  I have six on the bottom of my bags, and can take the off the bike and sit them right down without worring about paint damage.
