The spark plug in the rear cylinder head decided to rust. In it's path is a horrible rust stain on the silver powdercoat.

Any ideas on how to remove it

I have tried;
Brake cleaner both on a cloth and directly sprayed on the stain
W-D 40
S-100 engine brightner
CRC cleaner/degreaser
Easy Off Oven Cleaner...removed the powdercoat but not the stain

CLR rust remover?  As seen on TV, maybe available at a kiosk in some mall some where or true value hardware....
It worked on some stuff I had but not he same application as HD cylinder head..Good luck

Did not try that. Use it on fiberglass on the boat and it works great.

Ospho, you should already have a spray bottle of that on the boat anyway along with the WD40 and the vice grips

Well it appears the W-D 40 did not work...Let me know what you find out on the CLR.  I still have not cleaned the bike from Naitram's ride.

Did not try that. Use it on fiberglass on the boat and it works great.

used to use Iron Out when we had sprinklers in So Florida - works for clothing and a bunch of other stuff also.

dunno - will have to see if we have any here... wife is not sure, we used to use it a lot in the wash keeps the whites from getting dingy yellow when you have rusty well water

Jacksonville water (that we have at least) doesn't seem to cause rust stains like Florida did.

I am looking at the Super Iron Out Label and this is what is on the bottle...

"Contains sodium hydrosulfite ans sodium bisulfite." 

I use it in the toilet bowls to remove water stains.  Have not tried it on the bike.
