oh crap, now I'll have to decide if it's just a sprocket to get Dooderated or a sprocket and a wheel, or even a rear caliper too?  Ah nuts!

Well since you mentioned it there are some solid ('03 SERK) wheels w/a eagle theme available. :huepfenlol2: I'm sure you could find a solid sprocket to have engraved to follow that theme. ;)

Gary, I think the engraved wheel is a front only.  It would be such great companion to the eagle engraved forks I couldn't help but think about that a little when Brian first posted it available.

Truth, however, is that I thought about for only a "little."  No knock for those that do, but I just won't run solid wheels.  Just not my thing.  Spent too many days on the highway in crosswinds.

I understand it is one of those things you either love them or don't. I loved the look on my Fatboy, and in fact it was one of the things that turned me on to the Fatboy. I thought it was so unique to have a solid wheel on a motorcycle. You are definitely right about crosswinds you have to definitely be aware of them along w/semi's and other large vehicles that can create turbulence. On one hand I'm glad that I had the solid wheels before going to a batwing fairing because the first time I got in some funky wind I wasn't taken by surprise.

Brian,
Great job Bro she's looking good. :2vrolijk_21: :znotworthy: :2vrolijk_20: I wish you hadn't showed this to me though I like the way the Brembo's, and Progressive's set the whole package off. I'll be interested in the report of the new tires I like the fact that they are smooth sides. It's a pain in the a$$ putting tire dressing on the ribbed sidewalls.

Sorry about this but it was so funny I have to tell it.
 :jack:
Went by the Moto Guzzi dealer today to look at a Norge.
They had a red one and a silver one.
Was standing outside looking at the silver one and the D/A sales guy starts telling me all the features.
You know like, ABS, electric windshield, GPS and he pointed to the front end and said they have really nice brakes.
I was standing at the back of the bike and said "really?".
He said "yeah really good brakes, they are called Bimbo's.
He then lite a cigarette and leaned over the bike holding the cigarette about a 1/2 inch from the right saddlebag.
Did I say anything? Sometimes it's hard to refrain, but this time I figured it was better to just get the flock out of there and go home!

Sorry about the thread jack!

Lookin' good, Brian   :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:  Actually, I don't think the chrome lower belt guard is that difficult to see.  I had to put it on mine when I did all the other stuff, and stole your idea of removing the filler strips to expose all the stuff I'd just spent a bloody fortune on.  I like the look!!

You have GOT to get the chome inner though!!

I had the filler strips off Elvis for the same reason TC  Chrome rear caliper, Progressive 440's all hidden. Put the strips back on when I shipped it to Mark. Now he's got some stealth chrome himself although Elvis is the most chromed out bike on the site, so who's gonna miss $1,000 worth or so  :D

Maybe it's being a 300lb man on an 800lb motorcycle, but I just don't notice any drift caused by solid wheels. I actually love the look on LD, but have my heart set on something I'm hoping to get Extreme to do for me as a " one off " (okay, maybe two off  LOL )

I like the chromed saddle bag support hardware.  I thought about taking my black powercoated hardware off the SERK and sending it off to be chromed.  I am definately going to add the matching Road Winder sprocket and would like to find a set of chrome air shocks as well.

bp, I don't see a Roadwinder Sprocket for the FL. I used the chrome sprocket cover instead. I don't know if the Dyna Roadwinder works. But the cover doesn't hit anything because of our wider swingarm and fender. And because it's in a stealth locastion, I thought that was good enough. And much cheaper too! I did use the Roadwinder Floating Rotor though. ;)

About the only thing I haven't done is the rear caliper - but now that I see it done, got me thinkin I need the matching rear to my front PM's - need to upgrade to Lyndal pads anyhow.... ::)
