Title: I Wished There Were at Least Two Chrome Versions
Post by: Racerdj on September 24, 2016, 08:44:08 AM
Am I in the minority here as I wish there were at least 2 chromed versions of the Street Glide?
I am trying to determine whether the Black/Red will work for me. I had the 2011.5 Ultra in blue and liked it but prefer to have red somewhere in the color scheme.

I'd love chrome motor in the black and gray!

I would already of bought one if they had chrome motor etc. Never will own a black one, but to each his own.

The 17, is my third one with a Black motor.  I like it on light colored bikes, like the skunk I had and this red and black.  Not as happy with it on my dark anniversary color CVO King.

I agree!    I am a firm believer in CHROME on a Harley!
Over the weekend at the dealer I had the chance to see a 2017 CVO Street Glide CandyCobalt Blue & Indigo Ink -     I have to admit it was breathtaking!   That is the only color combo in 2017 that comes with Chrome Hardware.

It's gorgeous. I agree on the chrome engine. I looked at the orange/black bike and all I could think about is how the engine would always look dirty. My first touring bike was a '09 FLHX in vivid black, NEVER AGAIN.

That candy cobalt was the first bike released since '12 that I actually thought about trading for. We even talked numbers! In the end I decided to keep mine.

I think HD is being cheap putting the same black painted parts on the CVO as standard bikes. Black chrome maybe but not paint. Love my Indigo bike, but would have considered another if available in chrome.
