Who has had it done, and did you notice anything?

Eliminating the clang would be nice. Mine went in yesterday for recall.

The starter 'clank' actually comes from the primary compensator assembly used on all six-speed big twins, but is more pronounced on touring bikes. It's not hurting anything, just somewhat annoying to some people. The compensator 'loads' in one direction as the starter is turning the engine, and suddenly 'loads' in the other direction as the engine starts doing the turning. It's not likely the new cal would change that mechanically produced sound much, unless it changes ignition timing at cranking speed.

It's not a recall.

Peace!

I had it done last Friday.  Still seems rough at idle.  No apparent change; however, I will reserve judgment until I have several hundred miles on the mod.
