What is everyone doing? Between Madisonville and Sweetwater, my house is right on the line of totality so, I'm staying home and away from all the idiots. Little cookout, booze, friends, family,, looks like it will be a great day.

I'm driving to the path of totality - going to visit forum member JB in Illinois, around 20-hours drive time from home. Plan to automate imaging the eclipse so I/we can view it. Photographed plenty of partials but going into totality should prove interesting...

In the above 90% range here, not going anywhere to see the total though.

You had better think about (where) you're gonna bed down..........if you plan to leave far from home to go and view this deal.  News reports are saying most all hotel/motels within the direct path are already "booked". :nixweiss:

And have been for several years from what I read... Not a good time to proceed without a plan and know where you'll be.

Thought about renting pasture space for camping. Don't think the horses would mind.
