Title: Water cooled to non cooled

I'm wondering if anyone has converted over to just air cooled. My impression was the water was only for emissions purposes and around the valve seats. With a tuner, that hot spots can be eliminated. There are a lot more heads out there of just air cooled than twin cooled for the 110 motor.

Yes it can and has been done.
Takes all the gear removed, air cooled heads, and a year same air cooled map

Would there be any problem with codes like for the coolant sensor?

No, the map flash fixes that.
