Finally put the lift in the ground..takes up much less room and much easier to use.
Now to pick out racedeck flooring to make it complete and hide the old concrete.

What lift do you have. I don't think I've seen that one yet. I'm in the market for one myself. Looks really nice.

I've always been torn about doing this. Could never make up my mind. How much lift height is lost by the sinking?

10 inches.....but the space gained in the garage makes up for it.

Fortunately not really hurting for shop space. My bigger interest has always been the easier mount and dismount. Damn it. You're making me think about it again.

Look nice....How do you hook up the air?

Looks Great Brother !!!

If you enlarge the pic you will see the peddle laying in the wheel chock. It comes out the side of the pit next to the lift and the air hooks up there. If I take the peddle off I can drop the hose next to the lift out of the way. I thought about plumbing the air line, but didn't want to cut that much more concrete to get to the closest wall.

Easier on and off for sure....
I only have a 2 car garage and with 2 bikes, the car, tool box, work bench, etc, space is at a premium.

Maybe it's time to ditch the car and add another scooter..... :2vrolijk_21: ;D :bananarock:
The recessed lift looks great, by the way. When my rich uncle gets out of the poor house I've always thought of having a 4 car garage with one bay similar to a Jiffy Lube set up to work on the cars/bikes/mowers/etc.
Aerosmith said it best "Dream On"...... ;D

It's not just "a car"...I can't just part with that :nervous:
Unless of course I find a 70 Cuda AAR :huepfenjump3:

Nicely done MJB :2vrolijk_21:
I'd like to do this for lots of reason but I like the ability to move mine around for washing in the middle of the garage and long term projects in the corner of the garage.
Sure does look nice though.

I only have a two car garage, with 5 Harleys and a Stingray in it, things are very tight.

That sounds tight......I would have no room to work on the car

Quickjacks for the car. I really don't have the room or the height for a full size lift..and you can store these under the car. Not as good as a full size lift, but better than nothing.
