Title: Cheaper L.E.D. Tail lights?
Post by: bigchuck on November 15, 2017, 04:35:33 PM
My father wants LEDs on the back of his 2011 tri glide. I know you can't go wrong with Custom Dynamics but he is not wanting to spend that much. Does anyone have any experience with some of the lower cost lights? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

See here:  SuperbrightLED's (https://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/tail-brake-turn/)

You'll need to install your own load equalizers.

I just checked out that website. Do they sell the whole assembly or just the replacement bulbs? I only saw bulbs.

They sell bulbs which will replace the stock bulbs in your existing housing.

You only need bulbs, the assemblies are fine the way they are. You will need a load equalizer from someone, Custom Dynamics ones are good, Kurakyn and other companies have them. I would look into a combo unit that also turns the turn signals into run/turn/brake vs the current single mode of turn signal. If you buy some from Superbright be sure and observe the output/lumens etc. Some of the a/m LED bulbs put out less light than a regular bulb.
Custom Dynamics or Kurakyn are not that expensive if you look around. You can buy them thru one of the 20% dealers or aftermarket companies like Eastern Performance etc.

We are not looking for just bulbs. Would like to get the whole tail light assemblies in smoke. I know there are some cheaper options out there. I just thought some of you may have some experience with a hem,
