Title: New bike, needs pipes!
Post by: cmashark on November 16, 2017, 03:55:02 PM
Picked up a new Pro Street last night.  My first Softail.  This thing is sweet!  So now the search is on for pipes.  I prefer a 2>1 set up that isn’t obnoxiously loud.  What are you guys and gals running?  I have been looking at the Low Cat, Bassani, and the Magnaflow Gen-x pipe...

Thanks in advance!

Chris

I have the SuperTrapp 2>1 and like it. Not too loud like aThunderheader or FatCat. And with multidisks you can tune it to your liking.

Congrats Chris!

You still have the CVO Street Glide?

Cheers!

No, I traded it in.  I was getting board with it....  didn’t want to mod it after my first one had the oil pump failure and no solid fix from HD after so many people having issues for the last year.

They gave me a good price for it and a phenomenal price on the Breakout.

Got ahold of Bob at Fuel Moto.  Decided to order the short Pro Pipe and a new license for the Power Vision.

Thanks for the inputs.

Chris

When I purchased my 2018 FLTRXSE the dealer had already switched the header to V&H, and Exhaust to Cobra’s.  I added the TTS tune. Attached are the Dyno results.   I was surprised the dealer had switched out the pipes before it was put on the floor, but they did.  The sound is great, but I think the numbers on the Fulsac’s are better.

When I have the cash I’m either going go to the D&D, which are on my 2014 RK or try to get the stock pipes back and go with Fulsac.   I wish I had told the dealer I needed the stock exhaust at the time of purchase.

Hello,

I'm searching for the same type of exhaust.
Bassani has a new Road Rage 3 Stainless for Pro Street.

I don't know if it (too) loud or not...

I opted for RB Racing LSR 2 into 1 with 2' primary headers on a
S&S V124.  On my 98 Road King. Nice rumble Idle and on the highway. Not as loud as the custom stainless steel stepped 2 into 1 on my FXR4

That's one pretty looking pipe. You can bet it's loud- all Bassani 2-1's are.
