Just installed a Fulsak pipe on my 2017 CVO Limited. When I picked up the bike I saved my old pipes. When the mechanic handed my old pipes to me the item in the attached picture rolled out of the pipe. Kind of looks like a weld bead but just figured I’d ask the pros. We listened to the bike run while he was there and no ticking or any strange noises. I saved the bead just in case.

I think it looks like a weld bead. But kinda looks like a bearing ball also.

Interesting, not sure what it could be. Just changed the head pipe on my 18 from stock to the fullsac MX head pipe. Found nothing like that.

Damn. Never changed the oil in the mufflers, by now the johnson bar is probably ruined.

My guess is that it was intentionally put there by a pissed off HD Employee on the line. He wanted the new owner to keep going back to the dealership complaining about a rattling and rolling sound. Detroit had this issue with workers back in the 70s.

Ive seen this many times.
Its a torsion adjustment ball from a spinsley gear .It helps disseminate the unburned gasses from the flammable water sold at most gas stations around the country.
Its not covered by warranty because many harley owners have had theirs fall out or come loose so its considered "NORMAL" by the MOCO?
