Title: Rivera pro clutch removal

Can someone tell me how to remove the clutch basket.
Do i need spec tools?
Are the 2005 cvos a tapered shaft?

Post by: hd-dude on January 07, 2018, 08:45:52 PM: It should slide off. No tapered shaft. There is a special tool used to lock the hub when removing and installing the shaft nut.

There's been talk on oil creating clutch drag making "N" hard to engage. I'm not an expert but I have the same issue and overcome it by a quick short snap on the throttle at the same time shift to "N" slides straight in every time (or out of gear depending how you look at it)

Post by: VANAMAL on January 08, 2018, 08:28:40 PM: I know they need dextron 111 to disengage. Anything else drags. I also remember that the hydraulic rod length had to be cut to the correct length on the cvo bikes. Jim knows this measurment. Its a huge difference with the wrong primary fluid
