Dang, guess I should have asked that question before tackling my build. Looks like I could have gotten more motor for less money.  :nixweiss:

I went with this shop and have zero issues with recommending Kirby. He is great to work with and delivered on performance and satisfaction as promised. I went with the 66mmTB setup with 10.8:1 compression. He ported and polished my heads and did some extra work too. My bike is so much fun to ride knowing I've got plenty of power and torque.
Talk with him and come up with a plan.

Or an S&S crate motor and keep yours for a spare, $6000
And granite color is an option
2 year warranty.
Ask the builders how long the built up OEM motors carry.

This was a consideration too. My crank bearing was AFU so having a spare motor sitting around wasn't a possibility. I decided to use my cases to keep my VIN number instead of keeping track of another piece of paper verifying the origin of the crate motor.
I had Kirby hog out my air cleaner backing plate to match the 66mm throttle hog so mine is a sleeper.

building yours is a better option than crate motors, you retain your VIN,retain OEM oiling, build it your style & one thing that is often overlooked is that with a crate motor, your motor is assembled by engine assemblers, not a experienced engine builder
