Title: Why does this map work so well??

'05 SEEG that we dyno'd with a SERT ..ended up with a/f at wot of 13.4 ..nice flat line. Cruise numbers were 14.0 ....made just under 100 hp and just over 100 tq ..with a/c ..factory exhaust and one piece SE II slip-ons...I'm used to how it rides by now.
So I'm bored yesterday and i'm looking at the various caned maps in the SERT.
Looking at the CVO Fatboy maps.... I lowered all the target a/f numbers to a max of 14.0 for both cylinders...cut the Decel Enleanment numbers by 50 % for popping and left the VE numbers and timing alone as the tables are much more aggressive than the E-Glide map.
Loaded it and rode.... Starts better hot and cold...Idles smoother...throttle response WAY better.... it will now pull the front tire a couple of inches on a 1-2 shift..WTF ??
I'm leavin it this way till I can get it back on the dyno. ..I'm picking up some fresh plugs so I can get a good read on them..run the bike on 94 sunoco...My but dyno is telling me its gonna have better numbers ....

What is the map number you used?

I used #13, 127HX022-A1.MT5

SE air cleaner, V&H ovals with true duals and the above map. No dyno yet. Raised the rev limit to 6k and on a hard run 1st-2nd shift pulls the wheel 2-4".
I just looked at the data, seems most of my test run the AFR was between 14.2 - 14.5

I do have a decel crackle and the occasional decel backfire.

My exact setup soon,  I wonder if I could put the Race tuner in myself and map it myself and save a bunch of dough!

Remove the right side cover, plug in the module, hook up a laptop (easiest, not required, could use a PC), download the map

GO out and enjoy.

I'm running map 127MK004-A1 .MT5...05 CVO Fat Boy.....Should be where you would want to be as the true duals change the VE's on both cylinders . Reduce all the target A/f ratios for both cylinders that are above 14.0 down 14.0....Make sure to cut the Decel Enleanment numbers by 50 % for popping and load it. I made some other changes cause I'm just running the stock exhaust with SE slip ons and a/c of course.....If you look at the ve and timing differences between the two maps you will see that the 127Mk004 is more "aggressive"

I'm going to guess that the timing is more aggressive due to the bike weighing a lot less.

Put a 300 lb guy on the Fat boy and a 150 lb on the E-glide and your about equal.
The reason for the difference is the change in exhaust scavaging and fill due to the exhaust difference (2-2 vs basically 2-1) and the extra load to
