Woops,
That is a strong vote for the Power Commander for me. Just need to find a tuner
Thanks,
Mikey

Ok, now here is a strong vote for the Power Commander for you.  If you go the Power Commander route you have, literally, one of the best tuners in the country only about two hours away from you.

A guy named John Golden who works as Rolling Thunder Dyno.  He's in Joplin.  An absolute artist with the PC.  It is not an exaggeration to say it won't get any better.

Thanks Twolanerider,
I forgot about Rolling Thunder.
I met John in 01 or 02 at Bikes, Blues, and Barbeque. At that time he was partial to carbs. I'm sure that has changed by now. I have talked to Twister City in Tulsa but they are really into killer motors and choppers. After seeing CVOJOES dyno results it got me real interested in cams and tuning. My bike stock with stage one flash and VH slip ons put out a whopping 80HP and 90 Ft lbs torque.

I've tuned an FLHRSEI our store got as a repo.  With SE AC, Rinehart Duals, and SERT only, I got 101hp/106tq SAE corrected, smoothed 5.

Those are typical numbers for a 103 with those mods, several here have reported similiar numbers.

Mike, this isn't meant as hyperbole but John really is a master at tuning the Power Commander.  No two engines are the same.  But whatever is in there he'll get and will do so getting it running as smoothly as it might in the process.  I'll PM you my phone.  If you decide to set something up with him sometime let me know.  I'm only about 10 minutes away from him when he's working at home.

"The Dyno Jet Power Commander unit with it's 126 fuel adjustment cells and 126
spark timing cells offer simplicity that cannot always compensate for the high
demands of a modified V-Twin engine. Especially when the cylinders have a
different V.E. rate, this also offers a "Band-Aid" solution at best.
The H-D EFI Race Tuner Kit offers 220 Volumetric Efficiency adjustment cells for
each cylinder along with an Air Fuel Ratio (AFR) adjustment table that has an
additional 120 cells for a total of 560 fuel adjustment cells. There are also 220
cells for each cylinder to compensate for spark timing, fuel enrichment cells for
cold start and cranking enrichment for easier starting. With these extra tables and
cell adjustments there are over 1000 adjustments that can be made. Also
consider the advantages with having the ability to set your idle mixture as well as
idle speed and having access to your own rev limiter which is adjustable from
4000 to 7500 RPM. "

___________________________________________________________________

The Dyno Jet Power Commander does not alter the stock rev limiter. That is why
many people use the Stage 1 Download along with it. The Stage 1 Download
raises the rev limiter to 6200 RPM.

Just so you know. The Thunder Max has over 1900 fuel adjustment cells!

Hey Mike, did you ever get your final tune done and then the autotune all set up on yours.  Weather came in here shortly after my installation but in the limited experience I've had the opportunity to get with it so far the T-Max in combination with the autotune is a sweet system.  Thanks again for convincing me  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] .

I'd settle for 1899 fuel adjustment cells if they would use the other one to adjust my turn signals so that they would self-cancel. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

That was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life!!!!! Even harder then crawling on my hands and knees in a building that everyone else has run out of and watch the water BOIL on the floor!!!!

No I have not been back for the final tune. Since the auto tune is on SALE I should go ahead and pick it up now.

I am very glad that you are happy with your setup. I know I love mine. I just need to get some more miles on it.

Well Mike, to paraphrase a bad movie, you had me interested at hello.  But I had to drag it out until the Autotune to be part of the package.

Weather has been such that I haven't got to use it after the first couple of tank fulls got ran through it.  It was interesting, however, feeling the bike "learn" especially over the first couple hundred miles.  Starting got better and better, cold idle got better and better, all idle got smoother and smoother, a tiny little dip I felt cracking the throttle at about 65 went away.  It was an interesting process to notice and see progress through.

Easy Cowboys! Didnt mean to start a fracas over your PC1, PC11, PC111, PC111r/usb! I'll be the first to admit I know just enough to be dangerous ;)! I have a 2005 EG(95",SE203 cam's, RH TD, SE AC, PC111) and a 2007 SERK(SERT, RH TD, K&N). Both run great, SERT would be overkill on the EG and the PC111 would make me nervous on the 07 SERK, just my opinion.
By the way, Dynojet makes some pretty advanced commanders for European bikes. I understand they have a closed loop system for BMW's that works wih wideband O2 sensors. However, even with the latest version v-twin commander (ignition module, cyclinder trim feature etc), you base map(with or without the stage 1 downloads) is what is being altered and being fed to your EFI controller vs a custom map just for your bike using the SERT.
Let's see a AFR graph from a 110 tuned with a PC3.
