Man this chit scares me, I have a 2016 limited, honestly I cant wait to get rid of the bike grab a limited low and toss the cvo seat on it
all these new bikes are chitboxes to me

Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.  Just be sure to swap out your lifters every 20K.  Once you have adjustable pushrods it's an easy job.  Keep a spare set (and compensator) in the toolbox.

well thats a sad statement, Not at you but change lifters @ 20k
im kinda stuck with this heap, but its nice to push a button and do 90 on highway,   I order shocks for this thing and I think I want to hop it up

Back in Feb 2017 I had my rear exhaust valve lifter fail. I have a 2015 FLHTKSE warranty replaced everything except cases, jugs and heads. So while it was down I had heads decked, ported and polished. And S&S 585 cams with adjustable push rods. The bike had just turned 15k miles when the lifter failed.

Owned 4 different cvo's since 2005, no issues besides routine maintenance. Collectively, over 150k miles on them. My 2010 is running great!

My '11 SERGU, experienced lifter failure @ 15,589 miles one year ago, while returning from a trip to the Smokies and the Dragon.

When the dealer broken down the engine, turns out my bike was a Monday or Friday production bike, no SE components... 110 with 103 guts... know wonder the engine failed. MoCo still won't explain why.

Maybe a class action is needed, considering we spent what we did for the CVO "Cream of the crop".

that would make me mad! one thing for it break down,but paying for less than what you intended on getting. most of the time I am patient on problems. that would get my blood boiling.  be interesting to see how moco handles this.

My 2012 has 39,000 miles.  Taking her in today for a 40k service. Decided while there will have them replace the Cam Plate with the New SE Cam Plate which includes Cam Plate, Inner Cam Bearing, Oil Pump, Cam Chain Shoes.  I will also have them change the Lifters to S & S along with the S & S Adjustable Push Rods.  This is just a maintenance preventive decision. The bike still runs well and have never had any issues.
