Glide-Pro or Alloy Art?
« on: June 25, 2017, 12:40:34 PM »

The time has come to replace the front motor mount on my '08 RG. Glide-Pro or Alloy Art? Which one gives the best vibration reduction?  Thanks!

I bought a Glide-Pro but soon replaced it with a OE Harley. Maybe just me getting old but it vibrated all the time and I didn't like it. New Harley was smooth once you came off idle like, in my opinion, it should be.

Interesting... I have been reading on other forums that the newest HD mount, the "d" version, is also very stiff and passes a lot of vibration to the frame and bars. I might try it first since it is about half the cost of the Glide Pro/Alloy Art versions. So based on your comments, the HD version must be the least stiff of them all.  Thanks for the info.!

The "D" version is definitely stiffer than the previous OE versions.

That seems to be the consensus... Since I'm an old fart, I'm always looking for "smooth"   8) Thx

Stay with the OEM unit!

Jim - sent you a PM. Thx
