Khrome Works Bagger Ape Handlebar
« on: August 11, 2017, 11:02:39 AM »

I ordered the Khrome Works 10 inch rise 1 inch bars 12 inch center width. Im a do it yourself kinda person and before I got into taking it apart I was wondering if anyone knew if I would need to get new brake and clutch cables. My bike has the clear plastic coated braided cables. Thank you

Hi Devious... I installed LA Chopper Twin Peaks Bagger Bars (10") and used the stock lines (hydraulic).  I did mock things up before fully disassembling to see if there was enough line there.  My biggest issue was re-running all the wires - recommend just taking time and making sure it is done right.  Sorry I can't be of more help... Thanks for the info. I got it done. Once i got the fairing off there was plenty of slack. I probably could have gone higher if i wanted too. Thanks again

Glad the bars worked out for you.
I sure like the Khome Werks 12" Bobber Apes that I installed on mine.
Had to extend the wires but the brake and clutch lines were plenty long enough with minor rerouteing.

I didn't have to extend any wires. I cut a few zip ties under fairing and it worked out just fine. I'm going to take a pic tomorrow and post it here
