DTC: B1006
FAULT CONDITION: Accessory Line Overvoltage
PRIORITY ORDER: 143
SOLUTION: 3.7 DTC B1006, B1007

This code is set when the accessory line to the instruments exceeds 16V for 5 seconds (in other words, a voltage spike lasting at least 5 seconds).  The first thing I'd recommend is checking your battery connections (clean and tight) as well as your ground connections, including the one for your voltage regulator located at the trans bracket for the exhaust system.  If all is well, check your charging system.  Harley had a run of defective voltage regulators several years back, and many had intermittent overcharge issues before failing completely.

Some load equalizers will make the b1006 code pop up, I have that code on my 2009, it took me awhile to figure it out. My load equalizer is a custom dynamics, I've had it for 9 yrs or so.

If that is related I'm sure there is a fix, I chose not to and just ride.

Thanks, this may be my answer. I do have a Badlands load equalizer wired in. This may be reason.
