i know, just go ohlins. but i'm not in a position to do that right now.
i want to know if there is a suspension that is better than stock, at a reasonable price, that i can swap out the air shocks on the wife's bike. she was not totally disappointed in the stock performance, until lately, they seem to be 'jarring' her a bit more than usual. pressure is still at 15lbs where she's kept it for a while. i know that i can drain and refill the oil in these, but i'd rather go with coil over shocks and not have to deal with air pressure at all.
she's always had the 12'' shocks (roadking custom, roadglide custom) so she doesn't miss the ride of the 13'' shocks (never having ridden them). so i would like to go with maybe 12-1/2'' to give her more suspension travel without a noticeable lift in the rear. with gear, looking at 160lbs. never 2 up.
anyone got any suggestions? i did have a pair of the premium hand adjustable in 12'' on her bike before, but she doesn't weigh enough for those.
