An early Christmas present for Don - Twolanerider
« on: December 13, 2017, 05:00:31 PM »

Friend of mine was at the Bumpus H-D Shop of Collierville over the weekend and spied this beauty.  Knowing how you lust for one of these, Don, I thought I'd fuel that desire with some photos of a pristine model.

It takes a real mechanic, not just a 'tech', to work on one of these babies.  I mean there ain't no diagnostic port, lol.  Among other things he is rebuilding the carb.

I'm hoping to get over there myself and feast my eyes on this beauty before it is finished and gone.

Enjoy Don.  And don't let the drool short out your keyboard, lol.

What a gorgeous example of fine HD engineering.  I remember when the police in Gary, IN used to ride these, back in the 60's, along the streets writing parking tickets on Broadway Blvd to earn their keep.

Indeed it is Simon.  Kinda makes you nostalgic for earlier more simple times.  It would be fun to experience it on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon for a leisurely ride.
