S&S vs Woods cams
« on: April 25, 2018, 10:23:47 PM »

 >:( Just got an 03 serk last July. Had 7k miles on it. Put 3k on it last summer.  Doing the 10k service, I thought I should check the cam chain tensioner shoes. They are pitted and worn. About made me sick. Want to go with S&S cam plate and oil pump (forged makes more sense to me), but I don't know whether to go with their cams or woods cams (gear drive) if the crank runout is ok. The plan is to go with 10:1 compression,  TTS tuner, 4" true duals. I like the specs on the Woods TW5G or TW6HG. Not sure what S&S compares to those.
Not very good with the site at this point. Everytime I do a search, I end up getting too broad of a result.
Thank you in advance for your help.

From S&S a good combo has been 10:1 with the 570 cams in a 103.
