2007 CVO Springer cam install & more
« on: May 07, 2018, 07:58:03 PM »

Installed Gmr Genesis 577 cam today.  Bike is a 2007 CVO Softail Springer with 17,000mi.  Replaced the cam bearings with Torrington’s, put in S&S Premium lifters and the S&S Quickie pushrods kit.  Install went great, no issues, bike already had V&H Big Radius 2/2 pipes with a Harley Heavy Breather intake.  I’m going to put a couple hundred easy miles on it before taking it to GMR for tuning.  Will post results in the near future

It’s best not to ride it untuned!  Tune it immediately.  No break-in required.

X 2. When I did my GMR113, Steve told me to do a few heat cycles, then I trailered it to my tuner. Give Steve a call and ask him.
