Does anybody know the official reasons for the change made in bearings from the Timken bearings to the current set-up?  Was it a matter of a cheaper cost? More profitably? Easier service?

I'm not sure of the rational, but I do know it is the left side bearing only that was changed.

Cheaper to make, less time to install, bigger profit margins, a no brain decision for management/stock holders [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
