I thought this camplate is only good on '08's and not good for the '07's? :confused5:

Howie,

Two billet plates...

Screamin' Eagle® Billet Cam Support Plate

A great upgrade for any performance motor, this billet cam support plate is manufactured from billet aluminum; featuring pressed in bronze bushings, and is pre-assembled with the crankshaft bushing and oil pressure relief valve. Aluminum is specified at 6061-T6 billet plate, heat treated to T6 specifications, with a surface hardened anodized finish providing superior strength, rigidity, and durability. CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) precision machining insures precise dimensions along with constant material thickness across the plate, enabling perfect alignment of cams and chains. Cam Bushings, made from 660 bronze material, provides enhanced wear resistance, and stands up to increased loads from high lift cams, common in large displacement motors.

 25282-07

Fits '06-later Dyna® and '07-later Softail® and Touring models.

MSRP US $329.95

The above plate is for ours. The camplate and oil pump kit below is for earlier models.

Screamin' Eagle® Billet Cam Plate and High Volume Oil Pump

The Screamin' Eagle® Billet cam plate and high volume oil pump kit upgrades early model stock or large displacement performance Twin Cam engines. High flow rate/high scavenge rate oil pump, stock on '07 and later Twin cam 96 models, improves the stock oiling system to increase oil flow to piston oil jets, cam chain tensioner, pinion shaft bearings and connecting rod bearings. Increased oiling results in lower engine operating temperatures and increased performance. Billet Cam Support Plate is precision machined from 6061 Aluminum and anodized for durability. Kit is pre-assembled with crankshaft bushing and oil pressure relief valve. Kit includes Billet Cam Support Plate, oil pump assembly, bearing retainer plate and chain guide riser.

 25283-07

IN-STORE PURCHASE ONLY Contact dealer for pricing and availability.

Fits '99-'06 Touring and Softail® and '99-'05 Dyna® models.

MSRP US $429.95

I see the confusion now.

I am always baffled at how many SE parts are available that don't come in a SE engine!

I guess they have it now for the '07's. It's not in the original '08 SE Catalog I have, and wasn't available when I got the Feuling camplate. Too late now on my build anyway. Thanks for the info. :2vrolijk_21:

The guys going to do my build brought this cam plate up to me as an option to more expensive cam plate / oil pump alternatives. I talked with Steve (GMR) who looked into it also. He seems impressed enough to recommend it.

While this should be OEM, I will be including it in my build. The 07/08 stock oil pump is much improved and seems to be good to go. Are there better, sure. Are they necessary, not for my needs, IMO.

So, if I were to do this on my 05, would I use this plate and the kit pump or go with the Fueling pump?

Duane, if you wanted to go the Harley route for your bike the plate and pump combo are HD # 25283-07.  Before this was released a lot of the group used either the Feuling pump along with the stock cam plate or the Feuling pump and Feuling plate as they did cam changes.

So long as you change the pressure spring also if you stay with the stock cam plate all those combinations have actually worked just fine.  All seem to have addresed addressed the hot temps low pressure issue so commonly seen.

I just asked my local dealer if they were stock on 08 CVO and they said no. I also have been kicking around cam changes, but I can't make up my mind yet. I like to ride it like I stole it.

Duane. the motor I am building for Crash is real close to the one in Bessie...I am using the stock plate with a Zippers spring.

There are a bunch of motors out there with that set up....works fine.....just don't do many parades

So, has anyone done an evaluation comparing the Fueling parts to the SE parts?

Any long term reports in yet?
