SECU with wags trailer
« on: March 23, 2008, 09:30:11 PM »

After posting a question about trailer wiring, some wanted to know about the Wags dog trailer. So here are some specs and pics so all can raz me about hauling the dog around! FYI, as previously stated, the little woman wanted to get this and as we all know, you have to choose your battles carefully! With that said, it is actually pretty cool. We took the dog with us on a 325mile trip yesterday and all worked great. People slowed down to gander and a stops many would come over to question and chat. Met lots of nice folks.
Make: Wags trailer, 200lb, 600lb capacity, solar fan, interior light, side windows, rear door/window, spare tire, bra, cooler, hinged lid, lots of illumination. The owners at Wags are without question, the best people to deal with! lots of communication via calls and e mails and even their home phone #! We are going to add this portable "air conditioner" too.http://kooleraire.com/index.htm

I guess you don't get it. Wags offers horse tails for the rear doors. They're cute. :P
See....

No, no horse tail! I had to draw the line somewhere. I fully expected to get flak on the dog trailer though, that's half the fun of this forum.
We do plan to get it painted in a reverse color jester theme soon. Maybe a flat screen and a front window to reach the cooler and I may stay in there.

My dog will not watch TV while we travel.

I think it needs a hatch on top so that the pooch can stick his head out as you ride down the road.

I saw those when I saw AJ's brochure last month. I thought it was a cute idea.  :)

The side window screens are removable so she ( the dog) can stick her nose out. I did have the little woman ride in it around the block a few times before we took the dog to make sure it was not too loud. Here is a pic of the two of them.

I worried about fumes too. I would pull over before sitting in bumper to bumper trafic. I figured if Melanie was not passed out when I took her around the block a few times it should be ok for the dog. Noise was a concern but she said it was not bad at all, even with the 2into1.
