David, I have not, but Mr. We had his loosen on the way back home from Maggie Valley earlier this year.  Calling this "common" might be a little strong, but I wouldn't say it's unusual, either.  Here's the thread where it was discussed: CLICK HERE

It's not a unique thing to have happened by any means.  For awhile twin cams presenting this way was just a bit too common.

If it's only started to come loose and nothing else has banged around at all you still don't want to let them get away with just tightening it back up.  The loctite bond is already broken.  They need to take the nut off, preferably replace it, and reapply the red loctite before it goes back on.

Harley just came out with a new procedure for tightening the bolt.  Has been a problem since 2003 and it includes the CVO bikes.  Some have said to take .030 off the nut so it won't bottom out on the treads and reduce the clamping force.  Another fix was Harley has a washer that goes on the nut so the threads won't bottom out.  I tried to attach the service bulliten but it won't take .pdf files.  Go to this site and down load the service bulliten.  Came out May 27th 2005.  Next time I have my cover off, I'll take mine a part and tighten it.

Thanks Capt,
The dealer is going to check the torque next week. Seems this is what sets the end play on the 04,05 motors.
I checked the nut myself last month with an impact and it was tight but the dealer says the nut needs to come off get cleaned and reinstalld and that shoud cure the knock Im hearing.

Had a problem with the compensator early on with my bike but was fixed and hasn't been an issue since.  When they took it apart it was finger tight,  had taken it in with a lot of noise coming from the primary.  It was the dealers second bike with a 103 in motor with the problem.

I just found this and ordered it.  My TQ is almost 129 and have been nervous about the nut coming loose.

"I checked the nut myself last month with an impact "

Not a good idea - can dislodge a magnet and think of this.  The nut is tightening a spring pack.  An impact can be working against the spring when tightening the nut.  You have to use the "barbie stairs" to lock the drive.  Then when you are tightening, the spring pack collapses as far as it will go and you are then torquing the nut.
