SE throttle body
« on: August 21, 2005, 08:19:19 PM »

Anyone know if the new SE 50 mm throttle body will work on 2003 touring motor. I read about it in the 2006 SE catalogue but was a little confused as to why it only fits certain heads. Are they that differant and if they won't fit my heads " headquarters did them up real nice". Anyone have any other idea's of whats out there. 95"  10.5 cast pistons intake done, sert v&h true duals with slipons and of course HQ heads . [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

1Bagger,

The one I saw had two issues it did not work with the D shapped intakes and it did not support cruise control.   I am not sure I was looking at the newest one as my memory seems to recall it was a 48 mm throttle body.   Some of the heads are round intakes and some of them are D shapped and that would be why it only supports some of them and not all.

Whats out there is Zippers, Horsepower Inc and Kuryiakin and S&S for fuel injection upgrades.

I personally own the Zippers only draw back to me is that I can not use a stock airfilter cover with my zippers.   I would prefer to use fuel injection system but putting a round evo cover on a SEEG just doesnt make it so attractive an option.

Another option is to send your throttlebody and intake to Wes at Cycle Rama and he can change it from a 43 mm to a 48 mm for appr
ox 350 to 400 dollars.

I installed the Kuryakyn 57mm throttle body on my 2004 EFI Heritage, when I did the 103 build, and it worked just fine,  just finished the 107 build and everything still works like a charm.  The 57mm will improve breathing on any engine that will produce a minimum of about 105 HP.  I went to 57mm in case I decided to go to 113.  In fact I just sold the stock thtottle body, stripped of the sensors and injectors, yesterday on E-Bay.

magnetti marelli = Dual 38 mm

Delphi through 2005 = Single 40mm (there was an accidental printing that they were 43 mm, but that was an error.  I've seen some on this site state that they are bigger than 40mm - no so

2006 Delphi 46 mm stock - 50 mm S/E  - does not retrofit - wiring harness is different for injectors, TP.  Injectors, Tp and IAC all changed in 06.

1SE,

I measured mine when I removed it from the the bike prior to having it bored out. Both sides measured 39mm and my wrench measured the stock butterfly at 43mm. When he was done with it I remeasured.....44mm both sides with a 48mm butterfly.

Fatboy

PS: That was on my 2005 SEEG2.
