'07 vs '09 Forks
« on: December 15, 2008, 05:02:37 PM »

Parts manual hasn't arrived for the '09 SERG yet. Are the internal components of the '09 forks the same as '07 FLHT models? Thinking of swapping the Traxxion Dynamics cartridges from the '07 with the internals from the '09. No one is going to pay me an extra grand for the Traxxion Dynamics when I sell the '07.

Just need to know if any of the interal fork parts for the FLTRSE3 have -08 or -09 suffix.

We had a set of 09 forks in last week, they are the same as the 07. The cartridges swap fine.

Is there any difference on the mounts for the Brembo calipers?

no, but you will need new rotors if changing calipers

The '07 forks turned out to be a direct swap for the '09. I thought the larger axel would have required changing the lowers but that was not necessary. Axel is only larger between the forks. So the Traxxion Dynamics from the '07 are now performing nicely on the '09 SERG.  ;D
