Traxxion AK-20s
« on: February 12, 2009, 03:07:24 PM »

The traxxion dealer in the U.K. will fit and set up the AK-20s to loose forks only (I have to take the forks to him)
My question is how difficult is it to dismantle the forks at home, has anyone done it on a 2009 SEUC?
Thanks Trot

If you have a service manual and are reasonably mechanically inclined, it is not a difficult task. You should be able to have them off in 2-3 hours depending on how familiar you are with the process and how comfortable you are taking it apart.

Good Luck!

Some forks need minor modification when installing the AK-20, Traxxion has a member id on this site send a PM to him, Traxxion Dynamics.

If you are at all mechanically inclined and have basic standard tools (no special tools required), it's a straight forward relatively easy task.....   :2vrolijk_21:

Agree 100%.  Not a bad job at all.  I'm getting ready to do the mod to my FLHR.  A good bit easier than an FLHT, but the job isn't too difficult.
