Stock header and the 103" motor
« on: October 17, 2005, 09:00:50 PM »

Question for you guys who have dyno'd your CVO with the 103" motor.  What have you guys found in regards to the stock header.  How much of a gain in horsepower and torque do you get when switching out the stock header for a true dual set up from folks like Vance and Hines or others that are available out there on the market.  I had always heard that the stock header was decent in terms of power on the smaller 88" motor but not sure on the stroker 103" motor.  So what is you folks experience with this.  All other things being equal what gain would you get going to the true duals?

To recap my bike has the '06 103" crate motor, stage 1, race tuner and fullsac recorred mufflers with the 2" baffles.

Do a search for "dyno sheets"  for all the info. basically a V&H pro pipe 2 into 1.. racetuner and stage 1 air cleaner will get you to 95-100 hp and 95-100 fp torque..plus or minus..depending on the weather, the dyno and the operator. Well worth it IMHO, as the stock setup is 80-85 hp..good luck [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
