Looking at the temps today, Florida and the south are cold.
Up here in PA temps were in the low 30's but Orlando being 48, should freeze most of them snowbirds?

in the teens tonight in Georgia, they are not really set up for that, plants, animals etc pay the price. Roto Rooter will be busy with frozen pipes tomorrow. So I do in fact feel for them.

No sympathy for us Floridians? And here I've been dedicating all of my holiday rides to you 'all fellas from the lands where the ground turns white. (I dedicate my rides so dOOd doesn't call me a chithead)
I have to break out the full face helmet to day for the ride to work. Good thing I got my tour pack mounted, I'll need it to store all that stuff I have to wear to keep my nipples from getting hard.

Not cold here-------------Chilly!Winter is here but it hasn't gotten cold. Overnite low 20, today's high 40 to 43. Not bathing suit weather, but no snow or ice.
I can put up with this for 2 weeks of the year. Oh by the way, I just had to turn the main heating system on.
May have to go for a ride this afternoon, just to try out my long johns.

My bike is tucked away in the basement under the cover w/the battery tender hooked up.... it's happy, I'm happy, and we both warm.

It has been in the low 40's in Seattle area and Raining much better than the 20's - there is a BIG difference between 20 degrees and 40 degrees.

At 20 degress more freezes than just nipples

Took a ride to the Harley shop around 11AM. Temp 40 degrees, not bad had chaps and leather jacket ( no long johns ).
Don't know why I was the only customer bike in the parking lot. Only 2 other bikes there and they belonged to employees.
Must have a bunch of wimps living around here.

Note: I did have the vents on the lowers closed!

Oh well, I enjoyed the brisk ride.

Well the news has us all hyped up predicting 6" of snow this afternoon.

Many schools are closed in antispation and some businesses to.

I hope to get out of work early because a mere 6" of snow will cause 95% of the drivers here to Chit their brains!

It should be an interesting afternoon! On the Bright side I will get to fire up the snow blower today!

I love anything with a motor so If I can't ride the Harley I guess I will take my frustrations out with the snow blower!

Well the causes of global warming can be debated for years, but there is warming in certain areas. Not all areas will see an increase in temperatures due to global warming, infact some areas will see cooling. As ice caps melt and currents carry the cold water to warmer areas, this will cause cooling as the wind blows across the water. Below is a picture of Arctic ice melt. Regardless of weather you think global warming is man made or just a normal occurrence it is happening. Also pumping billions of tons of pollutants into the air can't be good anyway.

Looks like that cold front is headed our way next week and where we live it could actually snow. Here is shot from just above our house on the lake last year. That cove off to my right is where that first shot was taken yesterday. Doc

And that's why I told our Northern members that I dedicated my rides over the holiday week break to them....I didn't want them to call me a chit head. OBTW, I had a profound revelation this morning. If the temperature was under 32, the roadway on the bridges might be frozen and the road dangerous or difficult to ride to work. Now, before you call me stupid, remember, we don't get freezing weather here in Florida so I really have no experience with these conditions. Yes, I rented a bike in Tacoma, but it wasn't freezing, maybe 40. I wonder how slippery it gets with dry roads at 32 or below?

The bad....heavy fishkills...it is estimated that 30% of the total bonefish population has died off...bummer, fishing for them was hard enough.
They are tricky enough to catch when there are lots around.

Had a couple of bad weeks here for snow ,problem is the salt on the roads hangs around for quite a while. Harleys & salt go together like water & electricity.
