04 103" Engine
« on: May 09, 2004, 07:14:14 PM »

Hi,

Just joined, do not have CVO Bike, have 03 Road Glide, built up 95". Just purchased of EBay new o4 103" that was in a 04 Screaming Eagle Electra Glide, owner installing new Jims/Harley engine. Will install in my 03 Road Glide next winter.

Questions:

What is HP and Torque, stock, 82 HP?

What is the stock harley cam 203", 211? Imagine there are members putting in Gear Drives, Woods, S&S etc.

How do the 103" SE Heads compare to the SE 95" Heads?

what are the internal options, roller rockers etc?

Would appreciate any advise.

Thanks

JCZ,

Thanks for the welcome and info. I already have another set of V&H 2:1 Pro Pipe. On my 2002 EG with 95", Woods TW6H Cams, flowed heads, Wisec 10:5 Pistons, 2:1, I got 98HP and 114 lb. ft.

Have yet to dyno my winter build 95" SBC Flowed Heads, SE 251 Cams,S&S Roller Rockers, SE Cast Flat Tops, Feuling Oil Pump & Lifters; V&H 2:1, HD Racer Tuner, not yet burned into ECM, using Stage 11 Map for now.

This will be the platform for the 103".

Thanks again,

mr-magoo,

The gut knew exactly what he had, he was a dealer in West Virginia, he installed the Jims/Harley 120" in his SEEG. He listed it on Ebay and I was high bid.

Going to put in my o3 Road Glide in the winter. Still trying to  find specs on the SE 253 cam and heads etc. Probaly only have Short Block Charlie clean the heads up, have a look at valve sizing and may go with the SE 251 cam which I have in my 95" build now.

If you know the tech specs on this engine, it would be appreciated.

Looking at the date of this last post, any updates on your "RoadGlide" 103 transplant?  [smiley=1syellow1.gif]

jfscheck,

I just got back from Phoenix tonight. We left On Oct. 28 from Calgary (5 Bikes), arrived in Phoenix on Saturday. Got together with Charlie of (Short Block Chrlies) and had a few cocktails at the Billet Bar (ex Easy Riders) and we went for a ride on Sunday.

About my engine, left bike with Charlie, presently are doing the heads right now, built up and welded up the the heds to get more of a quench effect, similar to the old Ford 351 Quench Heads, welding up a vane in the intake portion for better atomization.

Going back first part of Nov. bringing the balance of the engine for him to assemble and put into  the bike, am going with the Andrews TW55G and HD Race Tuner Kit, still not decided on exhaust, may go back ot V&H Pro Pipe, currently have V&H Trie Dual Header and V&H Slip On Ovals. Bike dynod at 98 HP and 104 lb. ft.

Wont know until sometime in early 05.

Charlie has posted in the Twin Cam segment under 103  comments.
