New Riding Season
« on: March 30, 2006, 10:06:39 PM »

To all about to start the 06 riding season,   I want to wish everyone a good and safe summer.  With the stories that came back from the "kick off" run (in Daytona),  I wanted to express my feelings to all, that any one member,  or fellow rider (regardless of their machine preference..be it Metric or SAE) that may have their last ride is a tragic loss to all.  Let's all have some fun this summer,  I hope and look forward to meeting some of you out there this year.

Let's all be safe, and spend our year riding and posting pics of the places we've been....(you east coast guys need to send some pics of those beautiful mountains you got......So. Cal mountains suck!!!! Nothing but sand, decomposed granite and tumble weeds).

I always hated this phrase,  but "Keep the rubber side down"

All the Best

Red,
I lived here 20+ years.  Bitch is that anywhere you wanna get to is 350 miles across Death Valley (real pisser in late summer).  I love the mountains back east,  they have real lakes too (not these little "puddles" they call lakes out here.  SH$T...there's one close by,  in fact the town is called Lakeside,  I can hit a freakin' golfball across this thing,  they call it a lake....more like a pond to me).  Sorry boyz,  I brag all year long that we ride year round here (and we do......),   but you guys have real stuff to see. I gotta see the Smokey Mountains soon or someone's gettin hurt.
I did Crater Lake last year (amazing),  so I crossed that one off the list of sh$t to do before I die, and I do have a running list of stuff to see (and not on a bike doesn't count...I travel a lot for work,  but {IT AIN'T THE SAME}).

Now in Florida,  you guy's have the same weather as we do (only we have no bugs,  last time I was in West Palm,  I saw a misquito big enough to Freak a chicken flat footed),  they carry away small children....

Tie your ride down at night.......

All the Best

The Smokies are truly a fantastic place to ride.  I miss them like crazy down here.  You should put together a grand tour--there are people on this board familiar with the mountains from N. Georgia through Virginia and W. Virginia, at least.  And Spiderman mentioned Maine, so he knows New England (another great place to ride).

Crater Lake?  I've been there but in a car.  Absolutely breathtaking.  I can only try to imagine being there on two wheels.  Wow.

I've gotten used to mosquitos.  The love bugs, now they're a problem. ;D  And there are always alligators on the side of the roads, too. :o

Hey Beags,

Thanks for the thoughts and I'm finally gonna get out this Sunday and head down to Julian w/ my cousin.  If you're in the area, I'll be on my Banana and my cousin on his Charcoa/Blk USE or his B/B SEEG and his buddy's SED.

Ride safe!

_Beags,
Thanks for the well wishes, and you have a safe riding season too. Weather is getting good here (80 degrees today), but I'm working 24 hours OT so I will not get to ride today. Good side of that is I'm earning 24 hours of OT for my chrome fund. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I will be off tomorrow and get in the wind.

BTW - Since someone here has peeped my hold card (Unbalanced) and found out I didn't have a digital camera and always giving people the

Back at ya Beags! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
It is that time of the year. [smiley=banana.gif] In fact we turn our clocks ahead 1 hour this weekend which gives us that extra hour of daylight. I Love it! Can't wait to get some long putts in again. I am excited to see the difference the cams, exhaust, and thundermax ecm will make. It wont be like Hubs "Ole Maudie" but it should be like adding a little Viagra to the tank! ;D God willing, I will be able to put a face to many of these names on this wonderful site. That is except for BigDaddy who has his handsome face plastered to every post! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Being a man of Faith I would also like to include a prayer to all the Brothers and Sisters on this awesome site! I pray that every time you put your face in the wind that Gods angles place a hedge of protection around you and your scoot. That you may be Seen and See all cagers or any other potential dangers. That he may see you thru the storms you may encounter and bring you home safely to those that you love. And may we all enjoy the beauty of his creation and be thankful of the opportunity to do so! Amen! Gods Love to Y'all and God Bless!
