Has anybody seen both the Red and Blue bikes parked next to each other? Even better... any pictures of them paired up?

I'm not trying to start a Civil War of Red versus Blue. I'm just curious to hear some honest comparison opinions.

Hello Ziplock,

I have only seen the Rio once. Big Blue is not in the country yet, so I am only going on pictures. I have to say, that BOTH of them are EXTREMELY good looking. Once I got the bug I would have taken either one that was available here, but they only come into Oz by special order. I got the bug, on seeing a customized Ultra with the chrome grips and goodies, and I decided that riding with the "Tribe" my 103 need more umph.. On pricing up things I was told about the CVOs, as they never hit the showroom and I had never seen on, they are relatively rare. Anyway, if a Rio Red was sitting on the floor, I would have taken it.

On preferrences, if BOTH were sitting on the floor I would be in a pickle. My psych feelings on it are that the Red and Black is "Badder", on the Bad A$$ side of things with the combo black and red that has always been from the "Dark Side"... On the other hand, "Big Blue" is a bit soft, kind of swishy, and while I love that colour it is definitely not the hard core look... Ziplock, I think both are BEAUTIFUL and maybe the best HD have done, but if I had to chose which one I was going to take? Man, I really don't know.. I would take HOURS at least. It they would hold them on my promised sale, it might be DAYS !!!

Both are great, and I guess I am glad I don't have to make that choice. Blue was my always my favourite colour, that exact Fire Blue, even as a kid, and I think this bike was sent for me. I don't think there should be any Red or Blue bagging in this Thread, to be sure, BOTH ARE FABULOUS...

There were both of them at my dealer and as you would expect it just comes down to personal preference...I can tell you that the red one sold and the blue one was traded to another dealer...

I think both bikes are awesome looking. The only thing is the cobalt blue just stands out a bit more.

Yes, I have seen both side by side 2 weeks ago at a dealer in Muskegon, MI. Sorry, I don't have a picture. The blue is more striking where the red is more subtle. They were both indoors, so I don't know for sure, but I think the red would start to pop out more in the sun. If I had to choose over again, I think I would stick with red, but I would have to think about it some more, as both were great looking.

Have not seen the blue yet got my red back in dec. The blue would really have to be something to be a better looking bike

Funny, have seen both and although blue is one of my favorite colors. The way the red seems to be a differant color depending on how the light hits it just does it for me. Would love either one but my vote is for the RED.

Been out of touch here in Baghdad for a while....

As Cowboy mentioned, I definitely wasn't looking for a RED-BLUE bagging. I had a red one on order; it never arrived; when I saw a blue one come in I jumped on it; no regrets.

I love the way the colors bang in the sun and the bike takes on a different look. One of these days I'd like to see how the red one does the same.

Have four dealers with in half hour of each other.
two of the bigger ones both had both bikes on the floor and they have had them for some time.
but as of now I'm the only one that has a Rio on the road, here in portland area,
the other Rio Red's that did get sold of the dealer went somewhere else
Not sure on the Blue if any on the road here in portland. not see any on here on the site.
I know at Salem Harley, they did a dealer trade gave their blue for a Rio, and they have had Rio now for over a month

Being fair minded, and in the Transport Business in Australia with Bushtracker, so used to looking at colours....
My impression is the Rio suffers in the shade or in the showroom, and the Blue stands out...

In the sunlight, I think they both would COME ALIVE...!

Then it is just the case of the colour you prefer, I like the look of the Red and Black for BAD! But personally the Blue was a sucker punch. I missed the Red anyway, and only got a shot at the Big Blue. Which ever you have or choose, there is no better, BE HAPPY WITH IT!!! They are both top notch..!!!

Those are my Daughters, now 18, since they were about 12 they have won 8-10 State and National Youth Championships and about a dozen Buckles... I have a whole house full of ribbons and trophies and such, but those in my office are not about me, but my Daughters.. I will brag on them.. heh he...

I picked the blue because my last UC was red, and I was ready for a change.

And of course as everyone knows, the blue ones go faster.
