I baught a tombstone tail light and new small bullet markers for turn signals. These are not plug and play items. Here is my question, I have only three wires coming from the tail light and obviously two wires for each signal, the wiring harness has 3 wires though, I cannot find the color codes to know whats what, after blowing about 5 fuses I figured I would give the website a shot. Anyone know the color codes for the stock wiring harness for the tail section? Please help!!!!

I have an 00 wiring manual here if you think that will help. I used it when building my Budget Build bike. I built a wiring harness based off of the factory specs.

if it tells me what each of the six wires is then it would be great! I have a red w/yellow stripe, ablue, a orange, a black, a brown, and a purple

blk- grnd
blue- tail
red/yel- brake
brn- rt turn
pur- lft turn
org- int'l running lights- not used in US

red w/yellow stripe = brake light
blue = running light
orange = fender tip lamp
black = ground
brown = right turn signal
purple = left turn signal
