Engine Codes
« on: July 17, 2006, 01:37:44 PM »

What is the procedure to read codes off a 2001 RKC.  I heard the EFI has a self diagnostic ability but how do I access it.

I posted a similar question a couple weeks back it was answered by a fellow member that you cannot do it on these bikes, this feature was not impimented until 2004, I have a 2002 SERK, I tried to do it by following these instructions but I could not get it to work. so I am assuming his answer was correct. It is strange though, the first couple steps seem to work then you loose it. So I really still don't know for sure.

The code on the speedo feature was introduced in 2004.
