I have a 2011 CVO Road Glide. Has anyone else had problems with the front wheel weights coming loose, flying off and damaging the front fender? Apparently, HD is aware of the problem, and the damage is covered under warranty (in my case). Does anyone have a recommended solution?

Yeah this has happened to a couple of folks here already. Fenders got replaced and there was talk of people trying dyna beads to balance the tires but I'm not sure who actually used them. I don't know if I have fender damage but I heard a loud thunk last year and noted a nick in my left slider. Didn't hear of this until after I was back in Iraq so I'll have to wait a bit to see if the weights are still on mine or just what.

Search around a bit and you'll find other cases of this happening.

Regarding wheel weights you can eliminate them and use dyna beads. Do a search on the site and you'll find many posts/threads about them.

Welcome and it's not just the front wheel, had two come off the back and got picked up by the drive belt and jammed the final drive gear. Had to have the dealer fish them back out, rebalance no charge.

Welcome from a former fellow Minnesotan (Coon Rapids) now in South Florida.

Regarding wheel weights - happened to me just over a year ago. HD replaced the fender and put "different" set upon balancing the tires (replaced both front and rear). haven't had any challenges since then. Do have to wait about 6 weeks for the fender however. Other than that, no challenges with the bike and it's now got 17k on it. Love the bike!

mine came off and dinged my front fender, dealer was unaware of the problem but is going to discuss with the rep. $:-\$

I went to CVO Road Glide Ultra towards the bottom and then typed in wheel weight in search - recieved several threads back. May want to try that.

When searching it helps to go all the way to the home page so that you're not in a specific thread. I put in "wheel weights" on the home page and came up with 5 pages of results. Granted not all of them are about dinged fenders but you'll be able to pick out the best ones.

Welcome to the site from Delaware Ohio. Yes there has been talk and pictures of the weights coming off and putting dings in the front fenders. I belive it was on a get together. I have been trying to find it still and will keep looking for you. Sad thing was it was two bikes the same color and both had the same ding in almost the same spot and both were missing stick on wheel weights. They both took pictures and took them back to their dealers and they were fixed. If my memory is correct they also went to a diffrent weight after they fixed the fender also. I will keep looking for ya. Todd.
