Stock Exhaust Noise Level
« on: September 02, 2006, 11:39:50 PM »

I just got a Stage II 95" modification done to my 2001 Ultra.  They put the screaming eagle pipes on it.  After riding for a couple of hours today, my ears are screaming.  Does anyone know if the touring mufflers are much quieter?  The standard pipes did not bother me, but I would hate to go all the way back to them.  How do the touring pipes compare between the screaming eagle pipes and the standard pipes?

Thank you.

I put a set of touring pipes on an 03 with a 95 motor and took them off after 2 minutes. Just didn't like the sound at all. From others that run them, they are just slightly louder than stock. One thing you can do is change the baffles in the ones you have. Supertrapp/Kerker makes several baffles for those pipes and is much cheaper than new ones.

dndbrown,

The Touring Mufflers were stock on the SEEG's, and I rode mine for over 1k miles before trying the SE Pro muffs.
