When I bought my bike used back in 2010, the stock mufflers came with what I was told was Fullsac 2.25" baffles.
I wanted something louder, so I since put on Rinehart 4" mufflers, which come with 2.25" baffles. They are noticably louder for sure.
Because there is such a sound difference, I always wondered if the original owner was mistaken, and I really have the 2" baffles in them.
I assume the 2" references the ID or OD of the baffle pipe, which is visible sticking out from the inners of the stock mufflers. Is measuring the ID or OD the way to tell for sure which baffles are in there?
I figure if I really do have the 2", it would be worth putting in the Fullsac 2.25" in, which would likely sound the same as the Rineharts, then I could sell the Rineharts and come out ahead a bit. I actually prefer the look of the stock cans, mainly because the end caps screws are flush which looks cleaner than all these after market mufflers with their screw heads sticking up.
