They dont have to sound identical- if the 2.25 fullsacs will give me a similar type sound as the Rineys, I'll give them a shot. Like Dartman says, I think they will sound very close. Actually this past summer when I was in NC, I was talking to a guy on a 2010 SESG who had the Fullsac 2.25, and when he fired it up, I was surprised how similar they sounded to my Rineys. It was pretty much then I knew the Fullsac baffles I was using before were not 2.25 like I thought, because they werent as loud.

Is the bottom one the Rinehart baffle?

Yes

I'm guessing those are from the old 3.5" pipes, because looking at my 4" Rinehart baffles (from the outside looking in), they appear to have the spiral louvered design just like the Fullsacs.

They are out of 3.5 mufflers but the spiral is the same as the fullsacs

That's a great comparison. The bottom is an old school 3.5 Rinehart core for sure. Both cores are made on the same machine, but machine set up is completely different.
I like my louvers much closer together. This gives more pass through area for lower smoother sound levels and more bottom end TQ. The old TD Rineharts had a sharp
bark that would make you wince if you were right behind your buddy when he "cracked" it.

Well......not QUITE  the same.
Like Steve said, setup on the machine WILL make a sound difference as will the length of the "stinger" out the back.

Lots of variables come into play: engine setup, cams, compression,  true duals, etc, etc. even different size x-pipes will change to sound slightly.
I've tried many different combos on 2 of my bikes just to find the "perfect" sound. Lots of trial and error here! LOL
NOW I have the "perfect" sounding exhaust system. In fact, better than ANY other system out there!
 :soapbox:

IMHO, of course!

Thanks Mike.

Ya know, you may be the record holder for most miles on Fullsac Cores? Whats your estimate, MR 3 month, 25 thousand mile vacation taker.

Steve:
Got 70K on the 2010, lost a bolt last week on the right muffler, hit my buddy's bike, so no big deal. Same 1 3/4 cores on that one.
My '09 got 45K on the other cores.
My hot rod has about 10K on the 2" cores ( I don't take that bike out much)
So
Overall, sound, performance, fit, finish, construction......all tops.
 (Now, where's that free t-shirt?)
LOL
