Yes, Sumax, and also Ultra-Coat, in Utica, N.Y. both can attend to that color.
Just recieved a set of Evo texture black/brushed fins, 3 days ago from Ultra.
Good stuff. :2vrolijk_21:

I did the suburban 113 kit this year. The bore is @ 1 thou 8 tenths, so there is no piston slap. My motor has never been so quiet, does not run hot. Also had wfo, larry do some port work, tc 24d cam 57mm kury tb,
tuned by bv bob, did 117 hp, 126 tq. Makes power everywhere very fun ride. I also cut down the domes so im at 10.1 to 1 corrected to @ 9.5. .040 hg.  Zero pinging 40+mpg. Im very happy.

I have looked at Sumax for powder coating and holy cow the price they want to do a case and cyl's almost matches what I am thinking I will spend on this top end. 4 or 5 years, or somewhere around 80,000 I will be needing a bottom end also so then that might would be an option., but for now I have to poor boy it and the Suburban Speed kit looked to be good bang for buck. Like I said earlier the 124 would be my dream but budget will not allow spending $6000 for a motor and the tearing it down and dropping another 1500 to have it powder coated.....maybe someday...

Chico... You are really close to what I had in mind, cam included. Any idea how much was cut off the dome and what head gasket thickness is? I like the looks of the 24d cam, as well as the 57 Andrews. And chance you could email me or post a dyno sheet, I would love to see the curve and how far to the right things are with the 58mm and if it could be moved left a little if needed with a 54 mm TB

Head gasket is a .040 cometic, heads were 93 cc, my pistons were proud .007, so I had a pretty good tight squish. I had about .050 dome left on piston. Now that its all done if I were to do over, I might of left closer to .100 dome.
I have zero pinging, tq is everywhere, maybe more hp by adding a few more disks in the pipe, but im happy, not to loud. Mine is an 07, so all i could find were 5.3 injectors, but they are plenty. Good tuner is worth its weight in gold.
If your in Illinois go see bob or jim in southern Illinois they will tune you good.

Thank you very much. That helps me a lot  By figuring parts I am seeing less than $2000 give or take 500 either way and that is a whole lot better for me that the 5 to 7000 it would take to build a 120 or 124.

What hasn't been mentioned though is you are trying to force a top end job and performance increase on top of a known weak bottom end.
Add the cost of pulling the motor trueing and welding the crank, bare minimum.
The best insurance you ever bought. That is why I eluded to a 124, the fixed costs of labor and proper crank work, unless the labor is free, done by you.

get yourself a base P/C kit from EASTWOOD and do it yourself.ive been powder coating stuff for over 10 years, turns out better than factory, easier than painting

The top end job I believe I can do and my plan is/was to do myself this winter. I will say I have never been into a Harley but have built several SBC and BBC over the years. So top end I feel I could do with a few questions. Also have full access to a machine shop, but once again all automotive. Bottom end would be a whole new deal to me, could probably do the labor part but would second guess myself the whole time, and even when finished I would always wonder if this or that was done right. Someday I would agree with you, I would have to add labor to do the bottom end.
You do this for a living and I know there are always those unusual cases, but I am at 40,000 miles with no problems, what would you feel would be the usable life for the bottom end?

Honestly Kirby after downloading Sumax price sheet on the power coating its either a very expensive process or there is a heck of a profit in it. That comment makes me believe you are politely saying save your money on the 113...lol

You could get a 4 5/8"(120r crank) and put that in and Axtell I know has the pistons to fit.  You would have a 117 and keep the granite parts you have.

I am under the belief that S&S offers a granite-colored 4 1/8" cyl/piston kit.

Made a call to S&S and soon as you say granite they balk. Something about proprietary agreement. Seems once again if you own granite harley has you by the balls and not doing anything to make it any better for the granite CVO owners....
