Thanks torque!  Any thoughts on the S&S 583 with 10.5?  Looks torquier?

10.5-1 is too much compression for either the 551`s or 583`s,

Finally pulled the trigger on this modest build. Let me know if I missed anything. Should have charts end of next week.  Thanks for all the input!!

Bassani pro-street
Fueling 574 cam
Screaming eagle head gasket
10.5 screaming eagle pistons
Zippers dual tensioner and oil bypass
SE pro tuner
Hydrolic tappets (bike has 1300 miles, do they need replaced?)

Get rid of those lifters, and get a set of Gp1023 from Gaterman.
Also I would prefer T-man cams also.
As far as pipe I don't know.

Hopefully all advice given here isn't commercially oriented…just a comment is all.

At that compression your right in the wheel house for the TR-590 for big low end tq or the TR-625 for a more balanced package based on my experience with both.

Hi Lenny J.

I've been looking at these Forums for a while in regards to the 110 Motor upgrade. I am no expert on this Forum, but for what I have seen and learnt so far, this is the best option for what you are looking for in my humble opinion..

1. Leave your bike as it is with the SE 255 Cam. Take your bike to a competent tuner and you will achieve a cooler running Motor with a slight increase in performance. This is cheap and will make your bike a different beast to ride. You will have a slight increase in TQ and Power with this option. The SE 255 Cam makes your Motor run hot, but a good tune will fix this problem.. The SE 255 Cam is hard to beat for low end TQ..

If you want a big increase in low down TQ and Power and have a reliable build and want to spend some money having compression set at 10.5/1, consider doing the following;

2. Install a set of GMR 577 Cams. Install a set of either SE or Mahle 10.5 HC Pistons, have your Heads Port and a polished and while your there, have them install bigger intake valves and install some Beehive Springs.  Install either a HPI/SE or S&S 58 mm Throttle Body with with 5.3 Injectors. You should install an upgraded clutch as well because of the increased performance to your Motor. This upgrade suits the 110 Motor and gives great TQ and Power results over the SE 255 Cam at low RPM (2,000 RPM), and a big increase of both TQ and Power throughout the Higher RPM range.. You should also change out your Lifters ( S & S Premium Lifters) and replace your Cam bearings while your Motor is being worked on.. According to Steve from GMR, you can use the Stock Push rods with this cam..This upgrade will give your 110 Motor a big increase in performance and make it reliable for a "Mild build".

Take a look at some of the Dyno results in this Section..

Best regards..

We'll I had to get moving so I skipped the headwork for this year. Went with SE 10.5 pistons zippers tensioner axel bypass and s&s 585 cam. I've got the fueling lifters but will trade for s&s premiums if I have time. Build starts tomorrow. If I can't get the lifters in this year I'll put them in this fall when it's apart for the headwork.

Good move on the lifters and looks like you got a good plan.
