Ms. Beard was the first British woman to perform that feat and dang she was tall plus she's a darn good architect to boot.
Everyone knows how tall in the saddle a BMW is (especially for us mid 5 footers)....she's got bended knees and sitting TALL in the saddle and room to spare.
Around the world on a bike is a boyhood dream of mine...lot's of interesting threads on the interweb about all types of trips from the past years pole to pole or equatorial...do a google if you are interested.
