Has anyone got;

Std cam
HD chip upgrade (to allow increase in rev limiter to 6250 rpm
Thunderheader 2 into 1
Power Commander III
SE Air Filter conversion

From having read most of the old threads I very much like the dyno results from Big Sal together with his "wheelies at the twist of the throttle" interpretation. Big Sal runs rinehart true dual and his good results are pushing me the rinehart route. But it seems that most people support the 2 into one concept for low down (ie. wheelie popping) torque. I also favour the 2 to 1 because of the lower weight. I intend to remove superfluous nonsense when I get my bike to further improve power to weight.

Your comments, no matter how contradictory are welcome.

If you only want performance go for the 2 into one.  The Rinharts are NOT a performance pipe no matter what anyone tries to tell you.  I find it interesting that you buy a "loaded " bike and then are going to strip it down to give you more go.  Sounds as if you should have purchased an FXR and stuck a 124 S&S motor into the frame.  No matter what you do with the 103, a kid on a 600 Honda will hand you your ass everytime.  Ride the bike for what it is, a cruiser or tour bike.  Sheesh.  Just my .02, your bike, your money, just ride safe.  Spook.

Was thinking about stuff like spacers between saddlebags & rear fender, tourpack & fairing lowers (most of the time), backrests, heel shift, oil line cover, fork covers, tripple tree covers, axle nut covers, etc. That is to say all of the stuff that doesn't do anything other than visual.

I have remove nonsense like CB, saddlebag rails, heal shift, etc from my Ultra and it makes a noticeable difference to inertia. Like spook said, maybe I should have an FXR with fairing.

Taking off show chrome for the sake of speed can be less effective than you think. First of all, increased speed without power mods come down to thrust to weight ratios. Taking off 5 lbs of chrome may not provide any increse in speed and make your bike less attractive to you. An air kit would more than compensate for taking off axel cover and saddle bag filler strips. And a heal shifter is very nice for speed shifting when you really get on it.
I took off the engine gaurd and saddle bag gaurds from my 02 SERK and it didn't really matter and those weigh more than what you describe.
You do have a convertable bike. Lose the tour pak and put a little money in the motor and you'll love the way the bike looks screaming though the twistys.

For what it's worth I installed Rineharts on my 02 FLHRSEI and lost some torque on the low end but gained torque from mid-range to WOT.  Also gained 5 HP.  However, my main reason for the Rineharts was eye appeal and exhaust note.  IMHO these are the best sounding bagger pipes on the market.

Tony, I have the setup you are asking about on my '02 SERK.  Love it so far 25K (miles that is) on it and rolling strong!

If you are thinking about rhineahart look at Freedom cycle in Reno they make a modified version of it that has a different baffle and are bent different for clearence.  And make more power.

This is to all of you with a question at the end.

I put Rineharts on my 02 SERK because they looked great and sounded better. My buddy has V & H 2 into 1 on his 103 Ultra. His sounds great, runs great but I think the pipe takes away from the classic lines of the bike. If I were drag racing then looks would be the last thing I would consider. But I'm not. I drive around town eating most Harley's on the road  (accept you 103's ), going through back tires like I've never been able to before and having a great time. I park my bike and have people walk up ask me about it and take pictures of it. That's all I need or want. Many people don't understand why we do what we do to our bikes, but that's what makes us different. I actually heard a guy with a $100.000 Porche during Street Vibrations say "I would never pay thirty grand for a f---en motorcycle" .  I can't understand why my buddy has 2 into 1's on a bagger but it makes him happy.  O.K. I'm done.

Now the question that the Harley mechanic could not answer.

Along with my Rineharts, I installed a Power Commander III and a Ness Big Sucker. I have not had Harley change the factory chip setting. So what is the rev limit on my bike? I have heard 6200 and 55-5800. Is harley the only one that can change the limit? Also I want to boost the compression to 10-1, since the 02 SERKS have standard 88 heads would you guys, put after market or S.E. heads on or have the stock heads worked on?.

You are probably right. I will no doubt calm down a little when I get this "unknown quantity" but meanwhile need to do a little more dreaming. I don't know if any of you guys find this but sometimes the "wanting" and the "looking forward to" can give as much pleasure as the aquiring.

You are right on target, Mr. Magoo.  

The preference for the Power Commander by many is that they can be adjusted while the bike is running, however there is the down side of needing the reflash to increase the rev limit.
