Do you have a pic of the cable you’re trying to plug your lightning cable into?

I play XM on mine using Bluetooth. Where do you have HDMI? Are you sure it's not USB?

Not aware of any CVO bike coming with and HDMI cable.
Are you talking about the 32 pin apple plug in the saddle bag lid for the iPod Nano that came with the 12/13 CVO Road Glide and 13 CVO King?
If so, yes apple makes an adopter to go between that plug and into the new lighting slot on an new iPod or iPhone. I have on for my 13 CV"O King.
There are several companies that make them, some have cable in-between plugs or this one is what I have.

I am not aware that HD ever came with HDMI connectors. Hopefully it is a USB and adapters from that to EVERYTHING are widely available, just google the combination you need to go from and to.

What year bike? Why can't you use bluetooth? If you have GTS system and carplay on GTS and sirius from there. All of this is good info from me if you have newer bike. Otherwise I am useless. Lol

It's a 12 or a 13. Best of my knowledge the only years the CVO's came with the iPod in a saddle bag lid. His is the 12 CVO Road glide, long before GTS
If its the 13 King, you do not even have a head unit, just the iPod, amp and volume control on handle bar.

The '11 also had the setup in the bag lid. My SERGU had it.

Wow, my memory is failing, I too had an '11 SERGU and I forgot it was the crappy Harmon Kardin single DIN radio and Ipod was in saddle bag. Now that I remember.... it worked flawlessly and did not need 10 useless updates a month to correct issues mother Harley keep pushing out!!!!
