I install lifters out of the package well lubed with Torco on the outer surfaces. They are filled with light oil when tested so are not dry.
This method allows no bleed off time and both can be adjusted at TDC compression.
Just what works for me no harm with filling them just a waste of time from my viewpoint. The pushrods are dry and full of air so I lube the top end pieces well too as they run quite a bit of time before oil gets there.
Watch your oil pressure, there are reports of issues with that cam plate. I have been bit by 2 so far, worked fine when the motor was fired and then in less than 1000 miles oil pressure loss.

Thanks for the scoop on the SE Plate, will keep the stocker in case I run into the same problem.
Hopefully not.

And el complete-O!!
Ah, it is done!
All in all a very do-able job by anyone on this site.  I am very surprised at how
smooth it went and was by no means in a hurry.  Total time was about 8 hours
from getting bike on the lift to the final turn of the saddlebag latch.
I did do the pushrods twice for fear that I had to get them RIGHT!
So that slowed me a little bit.
And this was definately and enjoyable job to do on the bike!
Thanks for the advice and help along the way!

Great job! I wanted to know if you found a map for the TTS master tune to use with the woods cam? I have a 2009 CVORG and want to put in the same cams. Bobby Woods told me I needed to adjust the timing to get that cam to work correctly. So please tell me what you did and most important! HOW DOES IT RUN?

Thx   Faceracer    :bananarock:

Faceracer,
I have the closest canned map installed right now and the bike is running really good.
I think if I were to do the 50MM TB, then it would be real close with a canned MAP.
It will definately need a tune in the near future.
You will be very happy if you go with these CAMs and I would recommend going with the
58MM TB too, that will make a pretty big diference for you as well!
I have a big ride planned this weekend and will let you know how it goes.Have Fun,
Tim

Can't wait to hear how she rides and your butt dyno results. Great job.
